Adult Forum
The Adult Forum meets Sundays throughout the school year at 9:00 am in Emanuel's social hall.  Issues that confront adults in today's world are discussed.  Ethical issues, Bible study, theological topics, and justice issues are all considered.  Pastor Eaton or experts on topics from outside or from within the congregation lead the sessions. The discussions are lively, and the only requirement is a willingness to explore one's faith.

Pre-K--12 Christian Education
The Emanuel Christian Education is a collaborative effort between the Pastor, Sunday School Administrators, Youth Group Leaders, Sunday School
Teachers and Assistants, and the Minister of Music.  Business is conducted in the monthly meetings of the Christian Education Committee which is co-chaired by several individuals.  Sunday School Teachers participate in the Committee which is open to anybody interested in Christian Education.

Emanuel's Christian Education reaches people from their first days of life through adulthood.  Children under three years receive a regular mailing with age appropriate material for both children and their parents. Preschoolers and school age children enjoy various activities of Sunday school while adults meet for their own class.

Sunday School
Children are eligible for Sunday school two years prior to starting Kindergarten.  Sunday school is divided into five groups, namely: Preschool and Kindergarten; First and Second Grades; Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grades; Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Grades - Jr. High; and Ninth through Twelfth Grades, Senior High Youth.  Each group has its own class room in Emanuel's Education Building across the street from the Church.

The Minister of Music visits the Sunday School once a month and gathers children through the sixth grade for half an hour of "joyful noise". Children practice songs to present to the congregation during worship services on special days.

Curriculum
Seasons of the Spirit is a lectionary-based resource created by an
international team of writers and editors representing denominations from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the USA, and the UK.

Theological Foundations
Our vision is to provide God's people with lectionary-based, ecumenical resources that empower all ages to be transformed in Christ as they:
  a.. explore meaning and mystery in the Bible;
  b.. celebrate in worship, sacraments, education, and service;
  c.. engage in ministries of love, justice, and witness;
  d.. and live in inclusive communities of faith, shaped and led by the Holy
Spirit.

Youth Groups
The Youth Group program is open to young people in grades 7 through 12. These dynamic groups meet for special activities throughout the year to supplement the Sunday morning Christian Education program.

Summer Program
Summer is an active time at Emanuel too. The Summer Program engages people of all ages. Click on the Summer Program link to find out more.

Special Events
While each Sunday School class has its own activities for each Sunday, several special events are planned each year where children and adults of all ages can learn and have fun together.  Examples are a craft workshop before Christmas and a Pysanky egg decorating event in the spring.

Library
Emanuel has a flourishing and intriguing lending library that is actively used by the young and the not-so-young. Stop in and see what the latest books are.
